Social institution society has certain institutions to fulfill specific roles/needs for the society: ex economy, family, the media, education, the state (government), healthcare. Institutions can be societal patterns of behavior around certain purposes/functions. Can also be general patterns of behavior that come from societal conditions these can change over time.
