Illness is result of pathogen, often singular. Back then they would only life to see their 40s. they died young because of these bad bugs: over the 20th century we started saving people and they started living longer. A biological or genetic factor interacts with environmental and life events (stressors) to produce disorder: stress + vulnerability and protective factors disease, example- alcoholism some people think it runs in the family . Americans seem to be very vulnerable to alcohol. They think the best diet now is going gluten free , the mediterranean diet (eating a lot of fruits) sometimes not communicating may not get the treatment you need: psychological as well as social aspects can contribute to death. Eating a certain way may not always help: some people have a life pattern that leads to more stress. If you have a test coming up, the person worries so much that you can make yourself sick.
