Corpus collosum: thick band of nerve bers that connect right hemisphere to left hemisphere each hemisphere controls opposite side of the body ex. writing w/ right hand is controlled by left hemisphere. Left hemisphere: control verbal processing ex. language, speech, reading and writing. Right hemisphere: non verbal processing visual, musical recognition. Split brain: cutting the brain disconnecting the two hemispheres done in people with severe epilepsy. Parietal: somato sensory touch, pain, warmth top of brain.
