Briefing: usually groups of people (not more than 10 minutes) In a briefing it is good to have a handout or quick email after to insure retention: sometimes a superior, sometimes a team (things important to them in relation to the organization) Why do we brief: stuff is going on inside or outside of the organization & it is scary/awesome/threat/opportunity someone needs to know. When you go in: you do not need to get attention. Assume they are interested or need to be interested: orientation of the purpose and the material that is going to be covered. Intro: orientation to purpose & what will be. Purpose: material to be covered, for whom it is important, why it is. Rules orientation (as needed: when it comes into contact with organizational policies or laws, ethical considerations, cover company policies and laws.
