Language is a systematic means of communicating ideas or feelings by the use of conventionalized signs, sounds, gestures, or marks having understood meanings. It is the systematic and conventional use of sounds (or signs) for the purpose of communication or self- expression. The process by which humans acquire the capacity to perceive and comprehend language, as well as to produce and use words and sentences to communicate. There isn"t much of a difference between language acquisition and language development. The majority of language development is when you are child but it continues when you are an adult. We don"t really fully acquire 100% of our linguistic capacities.
