True stories (news: always attempting to give the audience what they want, ways to manipulate the news. Photo op: editors assign reporters to cover certain areas called beats. (education beat, immigration beat, religion beat, etc. , factors taken into consideration for interesting stories: Oddity when a dog bits a man, that"s not news. When a man bites a dog, that"s news. People/inner reflection: look for drama within yourself, within your family. You have to understand yourself before you can understand other people. Serendipity find the things you didn"t know you were looking for.
