Man diagnosed with autism: there was added detail and missed detail so not a direct photocopy of reality. Identify current situation: everyone has problems that need to be solved. First step needs to be to identify the situation. What is going on and what is the nature of the problem. What resources do you have to combat the problem. Problems always generate sub problems: ex: someone dumped a box of kittens and a mommy cat. Now they have 7 cats and the mommy cat and her three kittens were in awful shape. So first problem is that they have 7 cats. And they also have 2 dogs that don"t like cats. The goal = not to have seven cats. Subproblem = mommy and kittens are in awful shape. They need homes but you cant give people sick cats.
