Have little interest in being productive at work or bettering the world in other ways. Young-old: the middle-age person must seek new was of being both young and old. Giving up certain youthful qualities, transforming others and finding positive meaning in being older. Compared with previous midlife cohorts, baby boomers are especially interested in controlling physical changes (anti-aging cosmetics and medical procedures) Subjective age: feeling younger than one"s actual age.
