Match character names with pictures of characters, recall details about the setting by creating a picture of where a part of the story took place. Explain selected ideas in your own words, explain how the main character felt in a certain part of the story, predict what will happen before you finish the book. Classify the characters as human, animal, or thing, make finger puppets or act out part of the story, transfer a main character to a new setting. Draw connections among ideas and make inferences/find evidence to support generalizations. Classify, test for, distinguish, list, theme, relationships. Identify main characteristics of main characters, differentiate fact from opinion, compare/contrast 2 main characters.
