Punk: boutique sold nazi chic attire, big with the sex pistols, violence and obscenity, gave way to thrasher and more hard core music, started with a beat (like the blues) then developed in monotonous, ramones. Synth: synthesized music, mtv, deviates what the music is about, music becomes the background to the visual.
