Longing for authentic love (similar to the underground man: winter kept us warm. Numb to emotions that are revived: a choice is being demanded. Feel nothing and be safe: relationship between the narrator and other characters and how his memories are rooted in memories and desire, from despairing to a nostalgic scene.
