THEA 291 Lecture 17: 111716 Pre-Cueing
Document Summary
Cue-to-cue is when a part in the script where no technical elements are in the dialogue (no motions). Write in your scripts in your book (flag your book). Type up a list of the skips and hang them everywhere. Explain to the acting company what a hold is (stop what you are doing and go back). Stage managers set the tone for the room. Have to set the room for the day. Fa or f16 go; letters for different sections of scenery. The word go is essential, but only with a cue. To give someone enough time to get into position. The cues need to be perfectly in the book so anyone can read it. Underline the entire line because when reading down, you might miss your cue. You can change how a scene change goes. For cueing turntables (manually) you must give an extra warning beforehand so they can pull the tension.
