Scct works from 10 crisis response strategies grouped into three clusters. These represent strategy sets that share similar goals in communications and differ in their focus on protecting victims of crises and crisis responsibility. Responsibility links types of crisis and strategies of responses to crises. The three sets represent three basic options to communications that are able to assist managers of crisis and help them reflect where attribution is given as well as neoinstitutional theory. The deny posture represents strategy sets that claim no crisis happened or the organization that is accused of the crisis isn"t responsible for it happening. If there isn"t a crisis, the responsibility given to an organization for the crisis isn"t violating the legitimacy of the organization. The diminish posture is a set of strategies that tries to alter attributions of stakeholders by framing how stakeholders should see the crisis differently. Crisis managers may distance themselves from the organization and crisis.
