How real-life and virtual news sources can be wrong. There is a vulnerability that journalists face when considering the potential of making mistakes when trying to produce news in limited time. As a result of trying to rush a story, these stories that journalist"s publish can have errors and decline the trust in news that has already been declining for years. A study found that only 1/5 of adults in the u. s. trust local/national news. From the public"s perception, journalist"s lack in practicing the principles they hold high in their profession: accurate reporting. The diminishing press support has been seen over the years, but news outlets and media are still used by many people to make more sense of what"s going on. The public needs to know how media messages are made and need to have the skills to interpret what those messages are.
