Strategy: generally a master question and then specific questions to check it out. Ethical obligation to disclose that the interview will be recorded) Sequence (how you ask questions): funnel or inverted funnel. Funnel starts with general questions and gets to more specific questions. Inverted funnel sequence is used for very specific questions and leads to broader questions. Could be used when asking questions about politics, for example. Structural: ask participants to explain relationships. (cid:710)would you describe x as part of y?
