Outcomes are the key variables you want to predict or explain and are affected by other variables. Scholars have emphasized focus on outcomes on the individual level, like: At the group level, cohesion and functioning are dependent variables. At the organization level, we look at overall productivity and survival. Employee attitudes are evaluations that employees make, these can range from: Stress is a psychological process that happens in response to pressures in an environment. Some people might think influencing these things is not the business of managers who are serious. But, attitudes have behavioral consequences that directly relate to the effectiveness of an organization. The belief that satisfied employees are more productive is supported and correct. Evidence shows employees who are satisfied and treated fairly with respect are more willing to engage in citizenship that is above and beyond. This is vital to the environment of a business.
