Health promotion: policies + programs promoting behaviors known to support health. Physical health: characteristics such as body size + shape, body functioning, physical fitness. Social health: ability to have satisfying interpersonal relationships with people they know. Intellectual health: the ability to think clearly, reason objectively, analyze critically, use brain power. Emotional health: this dimension entails understanding how the health of the environments in which you live. Mortality: reflect the proportions of death within a population. Life expectancy: projected amount of time someone will live. Chronic diseases: leading cause of death. Healthy life expectancy: the years of full health a person enjoys without disability. Determinants of health: factors that influence health. Inadequate health insurance: sex + gender, economics + education, geographic location, sexual orientation, disability. Belief: appraisal of the relationship between an object, action, or idea.
