Unity- the imposition of order and harmony on a composition (the over-all design of the work) Composition-the placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art, as distinct from the subject of a work. Balance- the creation of a visual harmony through contrast and difference. Compositional unity- elements should be integrated so that the picture has an overall unity, with nothing left isolated or out of account. Conceptual unity- the elements found in an art are related to each other in terms of what, how, and when it was used.
