Arguably, the most important development in history as agriculture cultivated civilization. The early history of homo sapiens is divided into 2 ages; neolithic and paleolithic. The paleolithic age was approximately between 400,000-8,000 bce, commonly known as the stone age (cave man era). De ned, amongst other things, as the era of hunter gathers. In other words homo sapiens lived off of nothing but the things they hunted and gathered, there was no cultivation. A dif cult time to live because it was crucial to follow the food, so there was no living in one place. The development of very important technology would be the driving force to further development; tools, weapons, re, language, culture. Important to realize that they developed art in the form of cave paintings. (dr. bohanan doesn"t consider this a civilization because they were never in one place and they didn"t build up their establishments. )
