Document Summary

***note: he went very quickly this lecture, and i don"t have time to go back and fill in the blanks, i do apologize :(. He moved on at times before i could even read the first two words of the title of the slide, even if it had paragraphs of information. A lot of it was just stories that don"t help to the content at all, so that"s why there"s not /that/ much content today. Looking at space in three different ways: physical, mental, social. Looking back at ishi: he was one of the last four of his tribe--the yahi tribe, when he passed away, the yahi was no more, his point kind of trailed off here. Relocation: had a big effect on indian culture because of this drastic change to urbanization and new way of life. Urban indian experience: it"s like a frontier experience, they are experience this urban life for the first time.
