It"s hard to debate pros and cons of an article that strikes you as horrific. I"m extremely shocked that a man could advocate beating children by a method that was once used for animals. It also amazes me the ignorance of people who use this method of abuse because they falsely interpret this as what god calls for. It also scares me very much that this so-called ministry brings it over a million dollars a year and promotes this cause. While the use of objects to beat a child is extremely abusive, i do not find light spanking from a tap of the palm an abusive form of punishment. When executed right, i don"t feel that spanking a young child through a light tap is abusive. However, there are much better ways to teach children good behavior.
