Functional religion - looks at overall function for society. Objective: opinions of experts and what is in the texts. Subjective: how one interprets religion, how does the individual see their religion. Body practices of religion: showing your faith through your actual bodily presence, that it can be a part of your body and who you are and how you act, courts have a harder time dealing with these issues. Who degines harm, who defines who is reasonable. The country"s history will display the model of their version of secularism. These models change in relation to how history changes.
