Course: sosc 4350 religion, modes of governance & law. As mentioned in a previous seminar, we discussed the controversy surrounding abortion briefly. I had come across an article published by david millard haskell of cbc, wrote in early january of this year on justin trudeau"s liberal party creating a rules reform for summer job grants. The article is titled, trudeau is asking religious canadians to betray their conscience for federal funding . Abortion has always been an issue that has never been agreed upon between the parties involved, it has been discussed, debated and brought before the supreme court of. With the endorsement of women"s rights throughout the last few decades, women are now allowed to make judgement on whether or not they want to have an abortion. Without agreeing to this rule, an organization or individual will not receive funding.
