Trying to find different ways to take land/make indigenous people give up land voluntarily. 1918 reserve lands can be leased to non-natives if they are uncultivated and the lease-holder would use it for agriculture or pasture. 1927 no lawyer can pursue indian legal claims without a special licence, effectively preventing any land claims cases. 1933 first nations located in the prairies must have official permission to participate in any dance or performance. 1936 allowed indian agents to direct band council meetings, and to cast a deciding vote in the event of a tie.
