Defining and measurement development: what is development, development as progress, development as economic growth, basic needs, human developments, conclusions, development. Conveys a positive image: stability, evolution, tech advancement = progress, change, improvement, betterment, state of growth or advancement. However: experienced as suffering, displacement, m. black: idea of development as suffering or inherently good , perverse reversal: rich becomes richer, poor becomes poorer. Development as harm: land possession, poverty, irreversible damage to the environment. Normative ideal: how things should be rather then what they are. Image of society?: process (strategies that are crafted to achieve, how does it achieved development, dynamics (how does it occur development?) All through progress, economic growth, human needs and human development.
