Area that hinder women advancing to leadership positions and wage discrepancies, There are women in university than they were before and the experience 6 in 10 degrees however the increase in the number of women in the workforce is not increasing in congruency with that. Qualifications are there but there ae a lower number of women in these high positions. Dramatic increase in women"s labor force participation in recent decades. 1970: 30% of married women with children under age 6 in paid labor force. 2007: 62% of married women with children under age 6 in paid labor force (u. s. census bureau, 2010b) Theses stats are increasing from top to bottom, the first wave of feminism women fought to enter the work force and this pertained to white women only and middle class to enter the workforce. The research are mostly based on the representation of white women.
