According to canadian mental health association, both major depression and bipolar disorder account for 15 to 25 percent of all deaths by suicide in patients with severe mood disorders . A major reason for the mood disorders and the associated suicide rates can be social isolation. Depressed people as less active/energetic because they, spend more time alone and may stay in bed for long periods (comer, 2013). Stress is another factor for high suicide rates and many children, teens, or adolescents may consider suicide because of the, Long-term pressures such as poor relationship with parents, family conflict, inadequate peer relationships, and social isolation (comer, 2013).
