Gasoline sniffing: problem in northern canada, especially native communities. Native students solvent use & illicit drug use higher. Problem: more aggressive behaviours - becomes a larger issue - vicious cycle - can lead to being more suspended. Feelings of euphoria & psychic numbing; dizziness, slurred speech. Increase in suicide with the teenagers in the first nations community - could be in regards to gasoline sniffing - prior to 1989, there was still led in gas. Has an impact on a growing fetus. Gasoline sniffing - readily available and cheap. Stimulants: act on brain & sympathetic nervous system increase alertness & motor activity. Much more processed, and in its pure form it is much more addictive. If one has unlimited access - they would keep using and using. Particular plant: put in diet drinks - result: heart palpitations and heart attacks. Not only works on dopamine, but also increase noraphremanphin as well. Caffeine: natural: coffee beans; tea bush: adenosine & dopamine.
