Document Summary

Is arousal that occurs without you being consciously aware of it. A major efect of group presence, increase the autonomic arousal. Response hierarchy order of possible behaviours that behaviourists think about, this comes from behaviourism, behaviourists have only focused on behaviour, avoiding all of our ive senses. Ex, looking at the professor, wriing the notes. Dominant response is at the top of the response hierarchy. On a well learnt or easy task, the highest likelihood is for the dominant response. On a poorly learnt task, the response would not be on the top of the response hierarchy. Because it is hard and does not cause group facilitaion. Arousal caused by presence of others can hurt you on poorly learnt task/diicult/novel tasks. Someimes you panic when you think of what if people are judging me" so the arousal gets extremely high, therefore it shuts you down.
