Document Summary
The mind of a toddler and infant cartoon of the first slide. We assume a little more intelligence to an infant than it actually is and as it turns out, infants are quite sophisticated. Infants cannot express themselves except in very basic ways. Researchers had to be creative in measuring infant cognition. This has ramifications for behaviour and emotion: conception. There are 300 million sperms competing for 1 egg. 23 chromosomes of the egg and sperm unite. Basically the egg is just the size of a period but in comparison to the sperm it is like 85000 times the size of the sperm. The ovary every month produces an egg, sperm approaches the egg and penetrates it so that the egg with little chromosomes looking for the other half. The sperm also has 23 chromosomes and they will be different either x(female)or y(male) which determines the sex of the baby.
