Agenda: motivation a- definition and model b- maslow, social motives a- achievement b- affiliation/intimacy c- need for power. What is the best version of ourselves: definition of motivation. Motives are hypothetical concepts, they are not visible. They are needs, wants, interests that propel people in certain directions. Where do y7ou send your time and energy. Motivation can sometimes not be so clear when it comes to behaviour. These wants and drives reflect and underline needs. Psychologists spent a lot of time researching this specific behaviour and the motivation towards food. However, its overdone because it"s a fairly natural insect that people can regulate fairly well if you don"t mess with them and there are times where it can go wrong for example: eating disorders. Biological motivation is being twisted: model of motivations. Our way of seeing things can amplify or diminish most physiological needs.
