Virtues : virtue-as-excellence = character trait, ethike arete = excellent in character, excellent character traits involve both actions and feelings, not merely one or the other, reason + emotions disposition action. Vs do not do what is right simply because it is the right thing: continence vs. virtue, it is a character trait.
