Repressive Era (to 1872)
- Toronto Typographical Union (1832) these men were highly

o Police fought back/many were killed
o Started the decline of Knights of Labour (too dangerous)

o Represented all types of workers (plumbers, carpenters, craft
unions [very skilled], etc)
