Beach volleyball: the athletes are not receiving fair compensation for the games that they are playing, the sponsors are keeping the vast majority of the money for themselves as pro t. Our ideologies are not xed, and have inconsistencies: when we are looking for meaning within our social life, that is when our ideologies become established. Dominant ideology: the one ideology that represents the interest of those with power, and serves to keep them in that position. This is how people view women as a whole. Racial ideology: the ideas that surround certain skin colours, to classify people in a hierarchy, it suggests that certain races have advantages over others in sports just because of where they come from. Class ideology: the ideas we have about various social classes, here we believe that if you are lazy, its your fault, meritocracy, or the idea that you get exactly what you work for.
