Mantle- convection current happen here(in mantle & asthenosphere) Asthenosphere(lower layer asthenosphere is at top of mantle) Lots of hot solid rocks that it makes the rocks flow like liquid. A discontinuity is a plane or surface that marks a change in physical or chemical characteristics in a soil or rock mass. World"s litosphere is broken up into plates(tectonic plates) 8 major plates, & lots of minor plates. 2 phenomena of plate tectonics(a. k. a 2 relief features of continent) Any action that causes breaking & bonding of earth"s litosphere ie. earth deformed.
