You will also be introduced to tillich"s notion of participation, according to which god is not an object or thing to be known or not known, but the ground of being in which we participate. Upon successful completion of this unit you will be able to: identify some of the main themes of tillich"s existentialism identify what tillich means by two types of philosophy of religion and why they are important.
