Wanted to establish a purer form of government. Japanese forces trying to take over korea and china, but failed. *note: some who came over to the qing would be condemned, as "serving two masters" (eg. qian qianyi, was told by the emperor was not worthy of the human race , disgraced by officials) Hanke(poet), wu weiye(plays), mao xing, wang danshu(idle tippler), yu ! The plays of wu weiye:! and mention is made, explicitly or implicitly, of nanjing! Each play is a platform is used by humans to communicate with spirits/spiritual realm: linchun ge : facing spring pavilion! Symbolism: showing loyalty to a chinese dynasty: tongtian tai : the terrace of communication with heaven! The old emperors of the ming retreated there! The ming are running away trying to save their culture ! An account of her husband"s state of mind and behaviour after the fall of ! the ming: molin chun : spring in moling!
