Lecture 12, the iliad book 7 & 8. The whole text takes place over 7 days at most. Menelaus gets shot by an arrow which starts the war again. Trojan named pandarus, who was inspired by athena. Diomedes was on his day of excellence when he couldn"t be beat. He could see the gods and attack them. Book 6: we see hector having two conversations. First with helen, and then with his wife. She tries to convince hector to sit and rest, and blames the fate of the trojans on zeus. Hector then goes back to see andromache, his wife, and nds her watching over the war. She is the opposite of helen in that she is actively trying to be involved instead of just retreating and sleeping with paris. Andromache, where paris and helen don"t really care about anything and hector loves his wife.
