Learning and training occur more frequently informally (in groups, work teams etc. that aren"t designed for learning and training) than formally (organization approved tactics) The consequences we want to achieve by going through the training and development process. Affective/attitudinal; what you feel and your attitude towards work/certain process. Cognitive strategies; framework that allows us to obtain knowledge and use it. People sense and absorb info. through visuals, aural (hearing), reading and writing, and kinesthetic (hands-on) Training should have a combination of all the above. Motivation: the effort expended and the persistence of that effort to pursue a specific goal/outcome.
