Detective closing in on maurice so jenny decides to give herself in (cid:271)ut does(cid:374)"t. At this time film was dominant form of popular culture; primary medium of visual culture. Cinema was only dethroned by the advent of television. A film can tell a lot about the social and culture phenomena of the circa 1930-1940s.
