Feminists and sex workers are divided on the topic of prostitution. Human rights asylum to people denied rights based on prostitution or homosexuality. Working conditions, no prostitute zoning, able to address complaints, safety. On one hand, some feminists see prostitution from a liberalist point of view emphasizing sexual freedom, choice and pleasure. On the other, seen as danger for themselves and others. The exchange of money for different and various kinds of sex. Usually starts with survival rent, kids, hunger. Factory work, secretarial work all sell their labor for money. Prostitution is not morally worse than other form of paid labor: it is classist, ageist (usually with young people), racist (victimizes women of color and asian women), sexist (women are the worker, men are the bosses) Problems: constructed by and reinforces male dominance and male supremacy. Sexuality, like gender and race, are socially and culturally constructed (different historical times and cultures construct sexuality differently)
