Student to present required iep accommodations to classroom teachers at the beginning of each semester how to make this less directive and more collaborative. Teachers should set up a time to discuss iep with the student - this can still promote self-advocacy and independency. Encourage open communication throughout the semester so the student feels comfortable approaching you through the semester if the accommodations are not working well. With or without the iep, inclusive and accommodating curriculum should be incorporated into the classroom - this is a human right based on the code. Classrooms can be inclusive, it"s now a question of how a classroom can be inclusive - this is what udl focuses on.
