How things are: in part, the court assignment is aiming to get us to understand that there is a difference between the two. We need to make an assessment of this relationship: keep in mind and think critically about the relationship with is and ought. Theatre/morality plays, players, architecture: criminal justice is often thought about in terms of theatre. Criminal proceedings are much like a morality play.
