What is the relationship between technology and social worlds? (continuation of last time) Definite social relations between men which assumes here, for them, the fantastic form of a relation between things . The products of the human brain appear as autonomous figures endowed with a life of their own, which enter into relations both with each other and with the human race (karl marx) Leads to social politics of technology in society. Winner says social politics are not enough to look at, because technology itself is a factor here and they have impacts on the world. Assemblages- assembly/collection of things and the relationship can be fluid, and there is an emphasis on relationships between all the parts of the assemblage. Socio-technical- there"s no way the bush pump is going to exist without the socio and technical. Materiality- objects must engage in the dialectic of people and things. Social construction of technology is looking at the social relationships of technology.
