Document Summary

Each religion of the east puts a different spin on the three types of love. Began with one person, began 500 bc in the northeastern part of india. The founder siddartha goutama (563-483 bce) was a member of the hindu caste, the prince. Goutama was a well to do man, wants for nothing, education, wealth and power. Doesn"t move around normal people, he doesn"t have a chance to travel. Around age 20 that goutama starts making trips on his own in the local area. What he finds really troubles him, every where he walks he sees so many ordinary people are suffering in one form or another. He sees a very poor person, he doesn"t know what to do. He sees someone dying and doesn"t know what to make of it. The point of the traveling leaves him with burning question, if the world he sees as miserable as the world may seem how does one stop this.
