PS268 Lecture Notes - Lecture 8: Cannabis Sativa, Cannabis Indica, Hash Oil
Document Summary
Marijuana (cannabis sativa and cannabis indica) are easy-to-grow plants that produce the psychoactive chemical delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Something very important to consider about home grow-ops is that frowing marijiuana (notably on a large scale) inside a residential home, destroys the home. The mould that grows due to the high humidity of the grow-op is extraordinarily toxic. Also, because the utility companies are required to report (cid:858)u(cid:374)usual(cid:859) ele(cid:272)t(cid:396)i(cid:272)it(cid:455) consumption, houses used for grow-ops often have tampered wiring/electrical meters which for the new home owner presents an electrocution risk. I bring this up because there are several things that students often do after they graduate. Cannabis sativa in particular make excellent rope, and can be sued to make clothing as well. One the cannabis plant has been grown it is harvested and consumed in some way. Cannabis is in fact used in several forms including marijiuana, hash, and hash oil.
