This is the final unit of readings and new content. Having done two units on human resources ethics, we will turn our attention beyond north america to issues of international business, and beyond human beings to issue of the environment. These large issues are grouped together here largely for the sake of convenience, as both will be dealt with briefly. Partly this is because we already touched on international issues when we looked at cultural relativism is unit 2 and bribery in unit 7. Also the stand one takes on such world issues depends on a lot of empirical questions about global economics and environmental science. My approach will be less comprehensive than when we looked at the pros and cons of lying or affirmative action. You may want to further research some facet of these topics for your essay, which will be due soon. On the subject of international business, there is one article, one film, and several cases.
