KP361 Lecture Notes - Lecture 16: Ogive, Line Graph, Free Throw
Document Summary
Performance: execution of a skill at a specific time and in a specific location, observable behaviour, everything that we"ve talked about up until this point, figuring out how you are actually behaving at the time. Kinematics, kinetics, how accurate someone is these are all descriptors of how somebody is moving at a certain point in time: literally means what i am observing at the time in terms of somebody"s behaviour . Learning: not directly observable, must be inferred from observable behaviour. Have to track somebody"s performance over time: change in the capability to perform a skill that must be inferred from a relatively permanent improvement in performance as a result of practice or experience. *improvement should be a result of practice or experience. Can take the example of free throw shooting. First test, you got 3/10 over time with practice we would expect to see the numbers improve. Maybe after 6 weeks of practice you"d get 7/10.
