Another group trying to expand the meaning of the word people . Fits ethnic perspective on meaning of peoples and also fits with earlier emphasis on decolonization. A practice of appropriation, dominating and in some cases settling other territories and peoples associated with european expansion in the 15th and 20th centuries. Un declaration concerns around indigenous people and key elements of this: Article 3: indigneous peoples have the right to self-determination. Article 4: indingeous peoples exercising their right to autonomy or self-government in matters relating to their internal or local affairs.
