C. 1716: pirates were acive in the west indies. Pirate threat: 1716: decided to become a pirate, revenge (60 ton ship, 10 cannon, 70 men) June of 1717, he was successful of the coast of virginia. 12 cannon, 250 men: bonnet invites thomas knight & his crew, then he didn"t want to, then bonnet insisted he come on, bonnet invited him to dinner, and insisted he stayed, or there would be a threat. Nov. 17. 1717, queen anne"s revenge: knight is let on board, and asks to go to shore.
